I'm glad I watched it and if there is a sequel, I'll be waiting to watch it. It really felt like a setup for a sequel. There were a couple of things that happen at the end I didn't fully understand. I don't understand what she did with the men she would abduct despite knowing the reason why she was targeting men. When her story was explained it seemed a little vague. The pace seemed to drag along at times and it seemed to have taken a long time before you learned much about "Stree". Like I stated, I'm not sure why this is set around this particular festival and it was never explained in the film. There was great music, some funny moments and even a few good dances. I think the setting was perfect, the actors gave great performances and the scripting was decent. I don't want to give any spoilers so I'll just give my opinions about what I did and did not like. My ignorance about the festival did not hinder my ability to enjoy this film. I must admit that I'm not familiar with Navaratri and I'm not sure if the first four days actually holds a significance in relation to this "haunting". The Navaratri is a nine day festival signifying good defeating evil. The plot of this movie revolves around a female ghost who hunts and abducts men during the first four days of the Navaratri. Vicky and the women start getting close to each other. He meets an Unnamed women whose in the village every year during the festival. Vicky young and handsome village tailor disbelief's these stories. She abducts men in dark leaving their clothes behind during the four day annual festival. Chanderi village is haunted for years by a witch whose called as Stree.
